Aired Thursday December 16, 2010 at 9:00 PM.  Brink RAD got a huge surprise phone call from Fox 4 News in Dallas as they were requesting a live interview in the studio with us in response to a woman who was abducted after a "bump and rob" car accident. The lady was found alive almost 24 hours later and was unharmed. She did a lot of things right which we believe ultimately saved her life. She is a very smart and very fortunate woman! What is R.A.D.?

R.A.D. stands for Rape Aggression Defense. It is a 12 hour self-defense course for women.

Course Overview:

-- 3 hours of guidance through "risk reduction" techniques.
Risk reduction includes ideas and suggestions for students to apply to their daily lives to ensure their personal safety while at home, out running errands, social situations, etc.

-- 6 hours of physical hands-on training.
Students get to learn and practice techniques on dynamic impact targets (a.k.a. punching bags and shields).
Please note: R.A.D. is not a martial arts class.  You will not learn how to take out the baddest-of-the-bad-guys; you will learn how to defend yourself from an attack and ultimately escape!

-- 3 hours of simulation training.
This is where the student gets to don protective gear and step into the ring against one or more R.A.D. instructors wearing the "Redman" suit and practice the techniques she has learned on a live human being in a simulated attack/abduction!
Please note: simulation is ALWAYS optional.  You do not have to participate in simulation training if you do not want to, but it is encouraged.  Simulation is the proving-grounds, not to prove yourself to instructors, but to prove to your own self that you can defend yourself!
Restrictions: Our only restrictions are that women who are pregnant and children under the age of 13 may not participate at all in the course.  If you have any other physical restrictions, we will work with you and discuss your options.  It is ultimately up to you to decide whether or not you are physically fit enough to take the course.  Please understand also that you do not need to be in peak physical condition to take this course.  All students may work at their own pace.

You, the student, will find your self-confidence begin to soar as you learn for yourself that you CAN defend yourself! Sign up today!

Payment is made securely via PayPal, unless otherwise stated by the institution by which you are participating in R.A.D. (i.e. your company or workplace has arranged to pay for the class for you.)  Please use the tab titled "Payment Page" on the left to reserve your seat with payment.  Class size is limited to 60 individuals.
